Mwah! To my nine year old niece ~ *Much Luvs*
Went to *******a yesterday! My niece shannon turned nine, so after buying her a pretty little lemonade tree we made the trip into the sweltering bush.  After sitting outside my sisters house for nearly an hour, waiting for her to come home from her job doin the cleaning thang, my brother and I (You'll probably hear a lot more about John later one) were soon surprised by the fact that, A: my niece (Another one, not the birthday girl) was home from school - AGAIN - and B: she'd been inside the whole time, quietly watching a cooking show and leaving us outside in the miserable heat.

After roused from her respite, we then bitched at each other for another half hour or so. But I really did miss her, I hope she could tell - her town may be only an hour away, but I don't get to see my lovely neices and nephew enough. Anyway, off we flew to the vineyard, to Jock and Shannons, where we were thoroughly ignored once more by the little ones after hugs, kisses, raised eyebrows at our choice of gift, and cold drinks, talked about sweet nothings for another half an hour, and left feeling happy and sad that we'd gotten to visit.

But you know what? I still haven't seen Sal (My sister).  - in fact, I haven't seen her for ages. Kinda pissing me off, to tell the truth. When she's in town, she doesn't come to my house; actually, I've heard she prefers to spend an hour or so with my neighbour Helen, WHO LIVES THE NEXT STREET OVER.

Grrr.
